JVC Unveils New Home Thatre HD Projector
JVC have announced the introduction of a new HD Projector - DLA-HD10K in their mission to offer the highest quality home theatre projectors for the main HD projector markets.
The DLA-HD10K is their flagship product and features their proprietary 4-chip Direct Drive Image Light Amplifier (D-ILAT) teechnology which is an advanced form of Liquid Crystal on Silicon (LCOS).
1920 x 1080 resultion is avaliable with the DLA-HD10K and utilises 'non-moving' reflective technology which produces smooth high resolution images.
The DLA-HD10K is avaliable in two modesl to accommodate the wide variety of theatre sizes. A long thrwo with a lens throw distances of 2-3.8:1, which allows the projector to be placed at the back of a theatre. With a ten foot screen the projector could be placed from 20 to 38 feet from the screen. The short throw models has a lens throw distance of 1.5 - 1.0:1 which allows it to be used for CRT replacement or even for rear-screen applications.
It's optical engine engine design delivers a 2500:1 hich contrast and the user-replaceable lamp lasts 2000 hours and should cost arouand £300.
